"Chris Bergson is among
the best of the young jazz guitarists,"
says guitar great Jim Hall.
With a warm, clear sound, a
great love of the blues, and
a penchant for hard driving
swing, Bergson displays a lyricism
and maturity well beyond his
twenty-four years. He has worked
with many of the best instrumentalists
and vocalists in the New York
scene. 20th Century Guitar Magazine
says that Bergsons performance
in his debut recording as a
leader, Blues for Some Friends
of Mine, "proves himself
ready for the big time."
In addition to his formidable
guitar playing, Bergson is also
an accomplished composer with
a highly personal style. Bergson
can be heard on the Juniper
records releases of Doug Whites
Esplanade, and Annie Ross Sings
Cool for Kids. Look for Bergson
on the Juniper release with
bassist Neal Miner, The Real
Neal, and Bergsons own
album, Wait for Spring.
